About Us

Grafter & Hue

Grafter and Hue was born from a simple idea — that the everyday things we carry should
work hard, look good, and last long. Our first creation is a woven wire bag, handmade from
recycled plastic by women artisans in India. Each one carries the mark of the hands that
made it — practical, strong, and quietly expressive. The name says what we stand for:
Grafter for honest work, and Hue for colour, joy, and individuality. Every product we make
balances utility and artistry — made for life, not for landfill. Work. Colour. Care.

Grafter & Hue represents a rare blend of grit and grace

We believe in the dignity of making. We believe that colour belongs in the practical. We
believe that what’s well-made should stay with you for years. Grafter and Hue isn’t about
fashion — it’s about living beautifully with what you already use

Our Makers

Each Grafter and Hue bag is woven by women artisans in India who craft as a flexible
source of income alongside their regular work and family life. We partner directly with
these makers, ensuring that their skill and time are valued. As the brand grows, we aim to
create a more direct path for shared participation in what they help build — practical, not
symbolic. This partnership reflects our belief that good design starts with good work,
wherever it happens.
